HOUSE CUSP MARGIN

The House Cusp Margin setting allows you to control how closely a planet must fall to a house cusp before it’s interpreted as belonging to the next house. This reflects a common astrological practice in which planets within a few degrees of the next house—often 1 to 5 degrees—are considered to carry the influence of that house.

For example, if Mercury is at 14° Taurus in the 9th house and the 10th house cusp is at 15° Taurus, Mercury may be interpreted as a 10th house planet. When the House Cusp Margin is set above 1 degree, TimePassages will place the planet in the next house for interpretation while still marking its true position in the chart. This feature offers a flexible way to reflect your interpretive preference when working near the boundaries between houses.
